XMAS CONTROL, 2007
Xmas Control is a suite of specialized applications created for musical improvisation with digital audio. I designed this primarily for my own use in the band Christmas Decorations. It was used extensively on our album Land of Nope (Melted Mailbox, 2006) and Far Flung Hum (WODGER 2008).
Created using the visual programing language Max/MSP/Jitter, Xmas Control allows the user to quickly load samples, locate and loop selections, sequence playback of those selections, as well as save and recall presets. The output may be processed in a variety of ways including granular synthesis, delay, comb filtering, ring modulation, and equalization.
With the Xmas Synth module the user can generate waveforms, process them and save presets. Selections from the sample window may be used as synthesizer input as well.
